Developing Your Library

 Developing a library collection can be hard for someone with no prior knowledge in Librarianship. This is where we see the real professional information provider in their ability to build a library from literally no resources. Remember, a library collection can be made of anything be it maps, audio recordings, paintings, literally anything goes.

So the above marks our first books for our library collection and we are very excited about this milestone☺. You do not need a truck load of resources to start a library, be it at home, at work, at school or at a hospital. But you certainly need the right information resource, in the right format. That way your audience will make use of those books.

The Process of developing a library starts way before purchasing the information resource. A community needs assessment is imperative for launching a  purposeful and well - resourced library service.
